Hybrid role - 3 days Onsite and 3 days Remote
Job Description:
- This contract will start off as 3 months, with a hard end date of 1/20/2026.
- The reason for this opening is for an employee on LOA. Reporting schedule: Hybrid - Mon and Wed. WFH rest of the week.
- Therefore, the worker will need to be local to Milpitas, CA.
- Working hours: Standard hours, with flexibility.
Duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- This is a Level II, which will be 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Prepare journal entries and account analysis for certain US general ledger accounts, such as prepaid expenses, cloud computing arrangements, restructuring, goodwill, and intangible assets.
- Prepare account reconciliations on a monthly basis and ensure outstanding reconciling items are cleared on a timely basis.
- Prepare the monthly Balance Sheet fluctuation analysis.
- Prepare monthly reporting schedules to management, providing commentary and noting fluctuation changes from prior periods.
- Support cross-functional teams with journal entry posting and account analysis.
- Oversee global account reconciliation process and conduct periodic quality reviews of account reconciliations.
- Conduct periodic global accounting team trainings around best practices for reconciliations and other key accounting topics.
- Design, implement, and maintain effective accounting processes, policies, and internal controls.
- Identify automation opportunities while proactively engaging and collaborating with accounting transformation team members to build various scalable and transformational processes as well as to support new business initiatives.
- Perform other related duties or ad hoc projects.
Required/Preferred Skills:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of recent audit experience with a Big 4 or national accounting firm, or equivalent public company corporate accounting experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the organization.
- An active CPA license is preferred.
Education:
- Formal college degree is required in Accountanting or related fields.
